Toyota has launched a new value-for-money special edition of the top-selling Camry.
The new Camry "Touring" Special Edition delivers over $2000 worth of extra value compared to the Camry Altise on which it is based, including a range of added exterior and interior features.
Driveaway price is from $30,990 and includes $400 metallic paint optionA.
Heading up these 12 additional features is a reversing camera, with the camera image displayed on the audio system's LCD screen.
Added exterior features include 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels (including alloy spare wheel), front foglamps, sports headlamps and a Camry Sportivo radiator grille.
The new Special Edition also has a rear-lip spoiler, chrome exhaust diffuser and "Touring" rear badge.
The Camry Touring interior package includes dual-zone air conditioning, multi-information display and a 6-disc CD changer#.
Camry Touring Special Edition also has a premium three-spoke steering wheel and premium gear-shift knob.
Australian-produced petrol Camry models have a fuel-efficient 117kW 2.4-litre engine with intelligent variable valve timing technology.
Standard safety features include vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-skid brakes with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, twin front airbags and four more airbags.
Factory-fitted air conditioning with pollen filter is also standard, along with cruise control, power windows and mirrors, remote central locking and a security alarm.
Camry has fuel consumption of 8.9 litres/100km on the ADR 81/02 combined cycle with manual transmission, and 8.8 litres/100km with automatic transmission**.
Toyota has built nearly 1.5 million Camry cars in Australia since local Camry production began in 1987. It currently exports more than 80 per cent of the annual build.
Camry - like all new Toyota vehicles - is covered by Toyota Service Advantage, Toyota's low-cost capped-price standard vehicle servicing***.
