The 4WD adventure SHOW is pleased to announce entertainment stalwart and ex Australian Test Cricketer, Mike Whitney, as its official Ambassador for the inaugural 4WD adventure SHOW - Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek - Friday 27 August until Sunday 29 August, 2010.

The 4WD adventure SHOW is pleased to announce entertainment stalwart and ex Australian Test Cricketer, Mike Whitney, as its official Ambassador for the inaugural 4WD adventure SHOW - Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek - Friday 27 August until Sunday 29 August, 2010.

An initiative of the 4WD Association of NSW and ACT, the 4WD adventure SHOW is a three-day 4WDriving extravaganza complete with 4WD demonstrations, adventure activities, after-market product sales, special events plus expert training and information sessions.

Greg Redfern, Chairperson of the Event Committee said: “We are thrilled Mike Whitney is the Ambassador of the 4WD adventure SHOW. Mike very aptly appeals to a broad spectrum of individuals, professionals, families, and enthusiasts that this show caters to. With Mike’s years on the road as a travel reporter, for Sydney Weekender, he has an intrinsic understanding of the many and varied capabilities of 4WD vehicles.”

“From the hardcore outback adventurer to young families embarking on a camping holiday to caravanning enthusiasts or potential new car buyers, everyone can get something from the 4WD adventure SHOW. Experts will provide loads of handy hints in training presentations, including information on incident survival and great tips about incredible Aussie destinations to visit. I can’t wait to get out to Sydney Dragway to check out all the action,” said Mike Whitney.

Developed in association with the 4WD adventure SHOW, is the Sydney 4WD Training Centre where off-road sand driving, water crossings, sand hill ascents and descents, rough tracks, mud scenarios plus 4WD precision driving will be demonstrated. Visitors will be invited to experience off-road situations from inside a vehicle and will also be given the unique opportunity to ride in the latest model vehicles.

Other highlights of the 4WD adventure SHOW include a canoe demonstration in a specially constructed 30metre pool, and a mountain bike demonstration, where visitors can test their skills while on a full cross country course plus kayaking and scuba diving.

The 4WD adventure SHOW brings together all the major industry players and displays latest-model accessories and supplies at great prices, conveniently located at one venue.
